This is a brilliant day’s course which will benefit sewers of all abilities. The great couture houses use interlinings and interfacings to magnificent effect; you can learn some of these techniques. You will gain an in-depth knowledge of: fabrics, linings, interlinings and interfacings. You will be shown the different types of woven interfacings that are available, where and how to use them: to prevent creasing and stretching and much more. Stocked up with beautiful fabrics? Not sure what type of garment to make with them? Help is at hand. This is a great day to gain a lot of general sewing knowledge and it will give you confidence in all your sewing projects. You will also be taught basic pressing techniques which is a must for all sewing projects. |
